The Slenderette Bush Bean comes from Twin Falls, Idaho and was first introduced in 1968. It produces excellent yields of dark green, slender, stringless pods that are 13 cm (5”) long. They are an excellent choice for eating fresh, freezing, or canning. Plants grow on a sturdy bush that can grow to 51-61 cm (20-24”) tall with a 35-45 cm (14-18”) spread. This bean is a very heavy producer of long straight beans that mature in (50-60 days).

Soil Conditions: Well-drained soil that is fertile. Soil pH: 6.0-7.5 Planting Depth: Sow seeds 2.5-5cm (1-2”) deep. Germination: 7-10 days. Height at Maturity: 30-60cm (12-24”) tall. Days to Maturity: 50-60 days. Watering: Keep soil evenly moist. Sun/Shade: Full sun. Spacing after Thinning: Thin seedlings to 15-20cm (6-8”) apart.
