Phaseolus vulgaris
LOT#BB23114
An old-time bean from the New England state. Jacob Cattle beans are slightly kidney-shaped and have a distinctive, white and maroon-mottled color. These beans have long been a staple for baked beans and soups. This early, bush variety is also good as a snap bean. Plants have a bush habit which grows between 51-61 cm (20-24”) tall, with a spread of 45-51 cm (18-20”) wide. This variety cooks in half the time of most dry beans. Reliable early yields makes them popular for short seasons. An Open pollinated variety.
