The Jalapeno Tam Peppers grow on a sturdy compact plant that grows upright on a solid bush type habit and reaches about 40-61 cm (16-24") in height with a spread that reaches 40-45 cm (16-18”) wide. We provide additional support for most of our pepper plants, especially if they are prolific producers. Jalapeno Tam are a very productive plant with each plant yielding about 40 or more peppers. Peppers are a deep glossy emerald green that turn bright red when mature. The conical shaped fruit average 7.5-10 cm (3-4”) long and 2.5-3.8 cm (1-1½”) wide at the shoulder. They are thick walled, mildly pungent, and crack-resistant. Jalapeno Tam peppers are best used when they are green.
