Yolo Wonder pepper plants grow anywhere from 61-76 cm (24-30") tall with an average spread about 40-45 cm (16-18”) wide. We provide additional support for most of our pepper plants, especially if they are prolific producers like Yolo Wonder is. Plants bear a heavy yield of peppers that are 10-11 cm (4-4½) x 9-10 cm (3¾-4") in diameter, big 3-4 lobed, thick walled and sweet. Peppers start green and finish with a brilliant polished red. Plants have abundant foliage to prevent scalding and are resistant to the Tomato Mosaic Virus.

Start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last expected frost date in your area. Plant in well-draining soil in a warm, sunny location after the danger of frost has passed. Space plants 30-45cm (12-18”) apart. Peppers prefer slightly acidic soil with a pH of 6.0-6.8. Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer once a month during the growing season.
