King of the North Pepper is an early maturing pepper at 68-75 days from transplant. Plants grow in a sturdy bush habit reaching 41-51 cm (16-20”) tall with a 36-41 cm (14-16”) spread. Plants produce some great yields of good sized peppers that start of green and ripen to a fire engine red.  This variety thrives in our warm summers and cooler falls in Canada. Yielding crisp  green and red bells peppers right up until frost. One of our favorite pepper types used in salads, stir fries and salsa.

Start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last expected frost date in your area. Plant in well-draining soil in a warm, sunny location after the danger of frost has passed. Space plants 30-45cm (12-18”) apart. Peppers prefer slightly acidic soil with a pH of 6.0-6.8. Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer once a month during the growing season.
