Growing / Harvest Instructions
(4" Pot) Sprinkle 2-3 seeds onto the surface of a moist seed starting mix and do not cover. Tobacco seeds are a photoblastic seed type and need white light to trigger germination. Use a misting spray bottle to keep the seeds and soil moist until your seedlings emerge. Thin to one plant per pot and water as required. Allow plants to grow between 4-8" tall before transplanting tobacco outdoors after your last frost. It may take a 5-7 days before you see your plants starting to grow. A basic rule of thumb for watering is to check the soil a couple of inches down. If it's dry, it's time to water. Top the flowers sets as they appear and remove suckers from plants for leaf cultivation. Cut entire plant off at base when bottom leaves turn yellow. Air dry this type using 4' tobacco spears or to tie plants to a 4' stick and hang to dry for 6-8 weeks in a well vented, enclosed area.
