Serrano Tampiqueno is a very sturdy bush plant that, under ideal growing conditions can grow as high as 1.5 m (5’).  We average about 66-81 cm (26-32") tall with a spread the reaches 45-66 cm (24-26”) wide.  These are a very prolific pepper plant.  The peppers are fairly small pods that average 5-8 cm (2-3") long and 2.0 cm (3/4") wide, but they can pack a wallop and are at least 4-5 times hotter than the Jalapeno M pepper.   The peppers are an emerald green that hide extremely well in the emerald green foliage until they mature and turn a brilliant glossy red.  The hide and seek game is over then. A very popular pepper used in salsas, sauces, soups and stews.
